" Wooow that is brilliant! Love the Hello Kitty theme. They could have taken it to the next level toghuh and named C3 something Hello Kitty related.I wonder if Hello Kitty has a relation to Taipei or if it's just a brand they collaborated with. Do you know?Theming gets really meaningful when it derives from something authentic, I think. Something close to the place's culture. That's what I propose Helsinki Airport does. "

" This is not a direct coemmnt to the post by Ivana Helsinki but an idea related to fashion and other areas of design. How about setting up a finnish design showroom at Helsinki-Vantaa airport? Not just a couple of glass cabinets filled with products but a modern showroom with design stories to tell. It would also be a design itself and present talented finnish designers and their works and ideas from different perspectives. For example designers of jewellery, crafts, industrial design, architecture and fashion could have possibility to present their works there.Design exhibitions could include products or scaled models of products or designs (e.g. architecture). To make the exhibitions interesting there should also be a thought or a story behind the design(s) presented. Stories would be told with photos, written stories, videos or animations etc. in line with the actual designs. Maybe the exhibitions could be briefly introduced in Blue Wings magazine and the airport internet and Facebook pages. There maybe could be e.g. two to three designers presented at the same time. Because such a demanding exhibitions would require a lot of work to do they maybe could have e.g. three to six months time to present their exhibition. There could be one section for a wider and longer lasting themed exhibition about e.g. history and traditions of finnish design. Some of known finnish design brands have their shops at the airport so this would be clearly separated from those. Thus there should not be products for sale as they would make it a shop instead of a showroom.Airport is truly an international atmosphere so it would be a very natural place for a design showroom. It would be one way in building the image of Finland as a country of talented designers. It would also bring up the high level of finnish education that gives possibilities for talents to further develop and implement their ideas in real life too. Besides those the showroom could increase the modern and international feeling of the airport and bring one new possibility how to spend some time at the airport between flights. "
